Brooklyn, NY (February 2, 2019) – Police say that a pedestrian was injured in a serious pedestrian accident that took place on Monday morning on 18th Avenue. A driver sideswiped a man who was crossing the street at the time.
The accident took place at the corner of 46th Street around 9:30 a.m. that morning. Surveillance cameras were taken from a nearby shoe store that showed that a man got out of his vehicle and started crossing the Avenue. However, when he was halfway across, a Ford Fusion came speeding through the intersection and hit the pedestrian.
The Ford vehicle driver did not stop at the scene of the accident. The victim was checked out at the scene of the accident.
Police continue to investigate and search for the negligent driver at this time.
