Queens, NY (January 26, 2019) – Six people received various injuries following a violent T-bone accident that took place at Steinway Street in the Astoria section of Queens. The accident took place last night, January 25.
At the time, a Toyota was headed westbound on 20th Road and entering the intersection into Steinway Street around 6:30 p.m. At that time, a Subaru was headed northbound on Steinway and collided with the vehicle.
The force of the impact was so immense that the Toyota was sent flying toward a home on a nearby corner. The vehicle struck two pedestrians along the way.
Both drivers and a passenger, as well as the pedestrians, were all taken to the Elmhurst Hospital. The pedestrians were alert and conscious at the time. Four of those people were seriously hurt while others only had minor injuries.
The Subaru had allegedly been a ridesharing vehicle with two passengers in it who did not receive injuries. Nobody was injured in the home where the vehicle made an impact.
At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
