Coram, NY (January 26, 2019) – This morning, police were called to the scene of an intersection accident after the driver of an SUV was involved in an accident and struck a pole.
The accident took place around 4 a.m. at the intersection of North Ocean and Hawkins Avenues. The driver of an SUV was involved in an accident that sent them off the road and into a utility pole. From there, their SUV overturned.
The driver suffered a variety of injuries and was hospitalized, but is expected to be okay.
The road was closed for quite some time as crews worked on removing debris and repairing the pole.
