Watertown, NY (January 21, 2019) – Police responded to a crash between a van and a tractor-trailer that was reported to have collided head-on on Monday morning, January 21. The accident was stated to have taken place at around 8:00 a.m. on Route 11 in the town of Watertown.
According to authorities, 41-year-old Sabrina L. Olson, of Antwerp, had been operating a 2014 Dodge Caravan when she lost control of the vehicle, possibly due to road conditions. Olson crossed over the center line and subsequently collided head-on with a tractor-trailer, according to State Police.
Emergency medical crews accompanied police to the scene of the crash where they promptly transported Olson to Samaritan Medical Center. Her injuries have currently been classified as non-life-threatening at this time. The driver of the tractor-trailer involved, identified as 52-year-old Timothy Ronald Smythe, of Malone, was reported to have been unharmed in the accident.
