Queens, NY (January 20, 2019) – Police responded to a two-vehicle collision that took place around 2 a.m. this morning at the intersection of 69th Street and 34th Avenue.
Police originally received a 911 call that indicated that there were people trapped in a vehicle. However, when first responders arrived at the scene of the accident, all parties were freed. They found that three people had sustained a variety of injuries.
A taxi’s passenger said that a white Mercedes had been traveling at a high rate of speed when it ran the red light, colliding with the taxi. The vehicle then crashed into some fencing around a building as well.
Three people were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
