Broadalbin, NY (January 20, 2019) – A man from Dutchess County died on Friday night after he was ejected in a snowmobile crash on the Great Sacandaga Lake.
The accident happened around 11:34 p.m. on January 18. A 911 call was immediately received regarding a snowmobile accident in which a man struck another vehicle on the lake and was ejected. He received life-threatening injuries as a result.
When the coroner was called to the scene, he was tragically pronounced dead from his traumatic injuries. The sheriff’s office said that there are many hazards on the lake and want people to use caution from here forward.
The New York State Police and many other companies were present to offer help at the scene. At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
