Rochester, NY (January 15, 2019) – The Rochester Police department reported a crash Monday night, January 14, that left a victim lying on the ground after being ejected from one of the vehicles involved. Authorities stated that the collision was caused by a driver who ran through a red light at around 11:00 p.m.
Police reported that the accident happened at the intersection of North Goodman Street and Bay Street. A driver was stated to have run a red light, subsequently crashing into another vehicle. The impact of the collision caused the driver of the vehicle who had been struck to be ejected from the crash.
Emergency medical crews who were called to the scene found the victim lying on the ground and immediately transported them to a local hospital. The victim was seriously injured in the accident but is expected to survive at this time.
