Police say that a Malone teen was injured in a car accident that took place on Cushman Road in Fort Covington. The accident took place around 5:14 p.m.
18-year-old Mackenzie Taylor had been driving a Chevy Cobalt east when she suddenly lost control of her vehicle, striking a ditch on the south shoulder of the roadway. One person was taken to the hospital with neck pains due to the accident.
Taylor received a ticket for unsafe speed due to the accident.
Police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
