Greece, NY – Townhouse Fire Claims Life of Woman

Greece, NY (January 4, 2019) – A fire that broke out at a townhouse in Greece tragically left one woman dead on Friday morning, January 4. The fire was reported at approximately 6:30 a.m. at a home located at the Long Pond Shores Waterfront Apartments on Pond View Heights. The location is a new development at this time.

According to the Lakeshore Fire Department, the fire started and was contained to one unit located on the first floor of the townhouse. Firefighters along with emergency medical crews immediately responded to the incident and located one female victim at the scene.

It has not been stated as to whether or not the victim was transported to a hospital, however, authorities have reported that she was pronounced dead from her injuries. The victim has not been identified at this time. Investigators are actively working to determine the cause of the incident as the events that led to this fire are currently unclear.
