Sempronius, NY – Update: Man Pronounced Dead Following Car Accident

Sempronius, NY (December 30, 2018) – Police say that a man was hospitalized following a serious car accident in Sempronius, but he has now been pronounced dead.

The accident, according to police, happened at the intersection of Route 41A and Sayles Corners Road. The man who lost his life went through the intersection after driving through a stop sign, which caused his vehicle to collide with a tractor-trailer. The truck operator was identified as Timothy Shattuck.

The man who was injured, a firefighter, was transported to the hospital with severe injuries while Shattuck was uninjured.

The firefighter has since lost his life at the hospital. Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
