Brooklyn, NY (December 15, 2018) – In Brooklyn two mornings ago, a pedestrian accident took place at an intersection that tragically led to the loss of life to one individual and an arrest of another.
A truck had been traveling on McDonald Avenue and Cortelyou Road when it suddenly struck a male pedestrian. This pinned the pedestrian under the vehicle. He has since been identified as 71-year-old Pinchos Kreiner, who had been on his way home when he was struck by the vehicle.
Police say that Kreiner was, unfortunately, pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. The Collision Investigation Squad with NYPD said that the driver was arrested for failing to yield to a pedestrian and failing to exercise due care.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of this accident.
