Bronx, NY (December 15, 2018) – In the Bronx, a train accident took place that left one person with serious injuries. The accident took place at River Avenue and only one party was injured.
Police said that the accident took place around 1:20 this morning. Power was quickly shut down at the tracks and multiple units with the FDNY and NYPD arrived to help the injured party.
The victim was rescued and transported to the hospital. They were conscious and alert at the time and are currently listed in stable condition. The name of the victim has not been released and police are not sure why they were on the tracks at the time.
The investigation into the matter continues at this time.
