The cause of the accident is unknown at this time, although police suspect that Lombardini may possibly have had a medical episode. Lombardini was immediately rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. Unfortunately, the elderly victim was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
Police are actively conducting a thorough investigation into the events that led to this incident.
