Schenectady, NY (December 11, 2018) – A 4-year-old child has been reported to be recovering from injuries he suffered after being struck by a vehicle outside of a school on Monday morning, December 10. According to police in Schenectady, the accident took place at around 7:30 a.m. outside of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School.
Police were immediately dispatched to the scene along with emergency medical personnel in order to assess the situation and render aid to the injured child. The 4-year-old boy was quickly transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries that have been classified as minor at this time.
The cause of this accident is currently unknown as police are unsure as to whether or not the driver was at fault. No further details have been provided as police are actively conducting a thorough investigation into the events that led to this accident.
