Preble, NY (December 2, 2018) – In Preble, a 39-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a head-on collision that took place on Interstate 81 yesterday, December 1.
NYPD responded to the accident around 4:17 a.m. While there, they discovered that a 39-year-old had been traveling the wrong way on the Interstate, which is when he struck a Nissan Rogue driven by a 28-year-old male. The 28-year-old man received a variety of injuries, including pelvic pain, and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The 39-year-old who caused the accident was arrested and did not have injuries. His name has not yet been released.
Police say that the accident remains under investigation.
