Vestal, NY (November 29, 2018) – On Wednesday evening, November 28, both the Vestal police and Binghamton Police responded to a series of three separate motor vehicle accidents along the same stretch of Vestal Parkway East. The first incident was reported to have occurred at around 4:30 p.m. and all three crashes were cleared by 6:30 p.m.
According to authorities, the first crash involved four vehicles in the eastbound lanes, across the street from the Fox 40 station, in the vicinity of Plaza Drive. A second crash then occurred between two vehicles approximately 30 minutes later at around 5:00 p.m. This accident took place in the same location but on the other side of the parkway.
Vestal Police along with EMS were dispatched to both crashes as lane closures caused severe traffic delays in the area. Approximately 40 minutes after the second crash, a third accident was reported about a quarter mile from the first two, near Clubhouse Road. More than one person is believed to have sustained at least minor injuries, however, there has been no word as to the extent of injuries at this time.
Police are actively investigating the causes of all of these incidents at this time.
