Stapleton, NY (November 29, 2018) – A crash between a pedestrian and a motor vehicle occurred on Thursday morning, November 29, prompting emergency medical responders. The accident which resulted in injuries after one person was struck by a vehicle at around 9:28 a.m., took place at a Staten Island intersection.
Police were called to the scene of the accident that was reported to be at the intersection of Bay Street and Canal Street in Stapleton. According to an FDNY/EMS spokesman, one person had been hit by a vehicle while attempting to cross the aforementioned intersection.
The injured victim was quickly transported to Richmond University Medical Center in Brighton for treatment. The condition of the injured person has not been made available at this time. No further information has been stated in regards to the cause of this collision or the parties involved.
Police are actively investigating the events that led to this incident.
