Springfield Gardens, Queens, NY (November 25, 2018) – On Friday night, November 23, a man was reported to have been killed due to injuries he suffered during a motor vehicle accident in the Springfield Gardens section of Queens. Police responded to the collision that took place at the intersection of Rockaway Boulevard and Guy R. Brewer Boulevard at around 9:30 p.m.
40-year-old Jianhang Zhuo was found unresponsive by officers who arrived on the scene shortly after the crash. The victim was reported to have suffered serious injuries to his head as a result of the impact.
According to police, Zhuo had been driving east on Rockaway Boulevard and was attempting to turn left onto Guy R. Brewer Boulevard when his vehicle was struck by a BMW. Zhuo was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, as the driver of the BMW was promptly transported to a local hospital with injuries that have been classified as non-life-threatening.
