Rochester, NY (November 25, 2018) – A hit-and-run accident that resulted in the injuries of two pedestrians on Friday night, November 23, is currently being investigated by police. The incident was stated to have taken place at around 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of East Avenue and Alexander Street in Rochester.
The victims of this accident were located and identified as 37-year-old Kristen Housel and 38-year-old Keith Vangrafeiland, both of Rochester. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported Housel to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries. At this time, Housel’s injuries have been determined to be non-life-threatening.
Vangrafeiland was evaluated at the scene by medical technicians who determined he did not need to be hospitalized for his injuries. The suspect who struck the two pedestrians was reported to have fled the scene of the accident without stopping to offer assistance. According to authorities, the hit-and-run motorist fled north on Alexander Street.
Police are actively searching for the suspected driver as they investigate the events that led to this incident.
