Newfield, NY (November 25, 2018) – Early Sunday evening, November 25, a head-on collision between two vehicles was reported to have occurred in the 700 block of Shaffer Road in Newfield, according to authorities. The exact time of the incident has not been provided as details concerning the accident are currently surfacing at this time.
As of right now, helicopters have been reported to have responded to the crash which happened in the aforementioned location, south of Ithaca, in the vicinity of Van Buskirk Gulf Road. Tompkins County Dispatch stated that New York State Police, New York State Park Police, Bangs Ambulance, and the Newfield Fire Department were all sent to the scene of the crash, between the Route 13 and Route 34 corridors.
While one emergency medical helicopter was reported to have landed at the crash site and two more were stated to have been sent to the scene, there has been no word as to the exact conditions of the parties involved.
