Chenango County, NY (November 25, 2018) – The 58-year-old man who was reported to have been struck and seriously injured by a motor vehicle on Friday night, November 23, has sadly passed away due to his injuries. The police have not yet released the identity of the victim, however, they have confirmed that the man succumbed to his injuries yesterday, November 24.
Police responded to a call concerning a pedestrian who had been struck by a car on Upper Front Street, in the vicinity of Sonic restaurant, at around 6:22 p.m. The man was in the roadway at the time of the accident, although details regarding the events that led to the accident have not been confirmed.
The severely injured victim was immediately transported to Wilson Hospital following the collision. He was stated to have been suffering from head trauma. Tragically, authorities have now verified that the victim was unable to recover from the injury.
Police are likely to be continuing their investigation into this incident.
