Staten Island, NY (November 23, 2018) – On Friday, November 23, a motor vehicle accident involving an unspecified number of vehicles caused severe traffic delays on and around the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. According to authorities, the crash took place at around 1:41 p.m. in the left and center lanes of the Brooklyn bound upper level of the bridge.
Authorities responded to the call as dispatchers sent police and emergency medical personnel to the scene of the accident. EMS arrived at the crash site to attend to any victims of what was reported as an accident with possible injuries. While at least minor injuries are believed to have been sustained, the number of people involved and whether or not they were hospitalized has not been verified.
