Marcy, NY (November 21, 2018) – A deadly motor vehicle accident was reported to have occurred on Tuesday afternoon, November 20, in the town of Marcy. According to state police, the crash took place in the Oneida County town at an unspecified time and tragically resulted in the death of one individual and the injuries of another.
Troopers who responded to the accident stated that Shirley Stomierowski, 72, had been driving her vehicle along an unspecified town of Marcy road when she crossed over the center line and sideswiped an oncoming vehicle. Stomierowski continued off the road following the impact of the collision.
Paramedics were immediately called to the scene where they arrived and promptly transported Stomierowski to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival.
84-year-old Marjorie Brower was identified as the driver of the other vehicle involved. Brower was also taken to a local hospital, however, her injuries have been classified as minor at this time.
Authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the accident.
