Harlem, Manhattan, NY (November 21, 2018) – Early Wednesday morning, November 21, emergency crews responded to an apartment fire at 3250 Broadway that resulted in critical injuries to one occupant. Authorities received a call concerning the blaze just shortly after midnight, according to fire officials.
Firefighters battled the flames that were rapidly spreading throughout an apartment unit on the 10th floor of the building before quickly getting the fire under control a short time later. Emergency medical personnel were brought to the scene to attend to any victims and confirmed one person injured in the fire.
The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital to undergo treatment for unspecified wounds. That patient is currently listed in critical condition.
There has been no further information reported in regards to anyone else involved in the incident. At this time, investigators are working to determine the events that led to this incident.
