Centre Island, NY (November 21, 2018) – One person has been confirmed to have died following injuries sustained in a raging house fire that broke out at a home on Centre Island Road. The fire took place on Tuesday night, November 20, at approximately 10:00 p.m., according to authorities.
Officials stated that nine fire departments responded to the house fire that broke out at a home located at 300 Centre Island Road. The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time, however, one person was tragically pronounced dead following the incident.
It has not been made clear as to whether or not the deceased victim died in the fire or passed away at a later time due to injuries. Officials who arrived on the scene have not provided any further information concerning the cause of the fire or if anyone else was involved.
Investigators are currently analyzing all the evidence from the scene.
