Buffalo, NY (November 20, 2018) – An accident was reported to have occurred between a minivan and a firetruck that was responding to a fire on Tuesday morning, November 20. The motor vehicle accident took place at an unspecified time as the fire truck was heading to a fire on Hewitt Avenue.
According to authorities, a fire which did not result in any injuries broke out at a home of Hewitt Avenue. One of the firetrucks that were responding to the scene was then reported to have been involved in a collision with a minivan, less than a mile away from the fire. The crash occurred at the intersection of Parkridge Avenue and Amherst Street for reasons that have not been stated at this time.
Medical personnel was sent to the scene of the collision in order to render aid to any injured parties. According to officials, three occupants of the minivan suffered injuries, however, the extent of those injuries has not been verified.
No further information has been made available as police are conducting a thorough investigation into the events that led to the accidents.
