Syracuse, NY (November 19, 2018) – Early on Sunday morning, November 18, a head-on collision was reported to have occurred in the Interstate 81 southbound near the Brighton Avenue exit. The crash which sent one person to the hospital was stated to have taken place at around 1:30 a.m., according to authorities in Syracuse.
Authorities stated that the crash that deployed airbags at the scene also caused traffic to back up for at least two hours. Police along with emergency crews were dispatched to the crash site to assist any victims and evaluate the scene.
Emergency crews transported one injured victim to a local hospital, however, the extent of injuries suffered has not been made available. No further information has been provided in regards to the individuals involved or the cause of the collision.
Police are actively involved in a thorough investigation into the events that led to this accident.
