Utica, NY (November 17, 2018) – In Utica, a man died following a fatal accident when he crashed into a tree around 2:00 a.m. this morning, November 17. Police arrived at the scene to find that the man was in serious condition.
The man was identified as 26-year-old Jacob Perkins. He was found inside his vehicle on Culver Avenue near Armory Drive after he was involved in a serious accident. Utica firefighters had to remove Perkins from the vehicle because he was trapped inside. He was originally found alive in his vehicle and taken to the hospital, where he was immediately placed on life support.
Perkins was in critical condition and then passed away due to his injuries.
Nobody was in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Police were unable to identify anybody else involved in the accident but their investigation continues at this time.
