Mount Hope, Bronx, NY (November 16, 2018) – 23 people were reported to have suffered various injuries following a collision between an MTA Bus and an FDNY truck on Friday afternoon, November 16. The collision was stated to have occurred at around 12:12 p.m. in the Mount Hope section of the Bronx.
Police said that the accident happened at the intersection of Webster Avenue and 175th Street for reasons that have not been confirmed. According to authorities, all 23 passengers who were on the bus at the time of the crash sustained injuries that were mostly classified as minor, and one person was transported to a local hospital.
The specific condition of the hospitalized victim has not been made available at this time. Police arrived on the scene in order to evaluate the situation but have not yet made any statements regarding the events that led to the crash.
Authorities are currently investigating the accident.
