Dickinson, NY (November 16, 2018) – The woman who was tragically killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning, November 15, has been identified as former state Assemblywoman, Chloe Ann O’Neil, according to state police. The accident that sadly claimed O’Neil’s life was reported to have occurred at around 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 11B and County Route 5.
The fatal crash occurred when a vehicle being operated by 29-year-old Angel L. Oliver crashed into O’Neil’s SUV after failing to yield at a stop sign. The impact of the collision forced O’Neil’s SUV to overturn onto the passenger side as it came to a rest in a ditch. Oliver suffered minor injuries in the accident and was taken to Malone’s University of Vermont Health Network-Alice Hyde Medical Center.
75-year-old Chloe Ann O’Neil is fondly remembered by many loved ones and friends. She was a teacher at Parishville-Hopkinton Central School before serving as Assemblywoman in the state’s 112th Assembly District from 1993 to 1998.
No charges have been filed against Oliver at this time, although police are still conducting an investigation into the fatal collision.
