Lansing, NY (November 15, 2018) – Police are currently in pursuit of a suspected hit-and-run driver who fled the scene of a crash Wednesday morning, November 14, in Lansing. The crash was reported at around 7:29 a.m. at the intersection of North Triphammer Road and Peruville Road, according to authorities.
According to a statement released by the Sheriff’s Office, a suspect who was driving a tan SUV caused an accident at the intersection and then fled the scene without offering assistance or waiting for authorities. The crash is considered a personal injury accident as emergency crews arrived on the scene to assist any wounded parties.
No details have been provided, however, regarding the number of victims who were hurt in the collision nor the extent of those injuries. Police are currently asking anyone with any information regarding the suspect to contact the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office as soon as possible.
