Jerusalem, NY (November 13, 2018) – Police reported a traffic collision involving two vehicles Sunday night, November 11, that resulted in the injuries of one person. According to authorities, the accident happened as one of the vehicles involved made a lane change on State Route 54 in the town of Jerusalem at a time that was not specified.
Statements by police provided information in reference to a Dean Gregoire who was traveling south on the aforementioned road when he collided with another vehicle after crossing the center line into the northbound lane. The other vehicle, driven by Charles Darrin was brought to an abrupt stop due to the impact of the collision.
Police and paramedics were immediately called to the crash site where they transported Gregoire to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital via Penn Yan Ambulance. Gregoire was reported to have sustained back, head, and leg pain during the collision. Darrin’s injuries were considered very minor at most.
Gregoire was cited for an unsafe lane change and failure to keep right following the incident. No further information has been provided at this time.
