Tompkins, NY (November 12, 2018) – A plane crash occurred in Delaware County claimed the life of the pilot on Friday afternoon, November 9. Authorities investigating the crash stated that the accident took place at around 3:30 p.m. in the town of Tompkins.
65-year-old Daniel Drew, of Buffalo, was reported to be the pilot who was flying a 1975 twin-engine Cessna from Niagara Falls to New Jersey when the plane went down. Emergency medical crews immediately arrived at the crash site along with other responders in order to evaluate the scene and render aid to any victims.
Drew is believed to have been the sole victim of this incident as there has been no mention of any other victims. The Federal Aviation Administration, the National Transportation Safety Board, and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection Police have all been stated to be engaged in an investigation into the crash.
