Murray, NY (November 12, 2018) – According to New York State Police, at least one individual has suffered critical injuries following a collision between two vehicles on Monday evening, November 12. The injurious car crash was reported to have occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the town of Murray.
Authorities in Orleans County stated that volunteer firefighter had been responding to a call when he collided with a grain truck that was turning into Howard Farms located on Route 31. Police were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident as were paramedics to assist the severely injured driver.
Police reported that the injured firefighter was promptly airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital to be treated for his wounds. At this time, the patient has been listed in serious but stable condition. There was no word as to the condition of the other driver involved, however, no other injuries are believed to have been reported.
No more information has been made available in regards to this accident, and police are likely involved in an investigation into the events that led to the incident.
