Lewis, NY (November 10, 2018) – A Peru man was injured in a serious vehicle rollover accident that took place on Interstate 87, according to investigating police.
The man was since identified as 49-year-old Christopher Hinds, who had been driving his 2012 Chevy Equinox north on the highway around 2:58 p.m. when his vehicle was involved in an accident, struck a sign, and went off the other side of the road.
When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they transported Hinds to the hospital because he had slight head pain. He was treated for his injuries and then released.
Police say that the accident might have been caused by falling asleep at the wheel but they continue to investigate at this time.
At this time, we would like to offer our thoughts and prayers to Christopher Hinds and hope that he is able to make a full recovery for his injuries after this serious accident.
