Glens Falls, NY (November 9, 2018) – The suspect who struck a woman while she was in a crosswalk early Tuesday morning, November 6, is currently wanted by Glens Falls Police. The accident was initially reported to have happened at around 5:35 a.m. when the victim was hit by someone driving a silver or gray four-door Saab sedan.
Police stated that the accident took place in a crosswalk on Quade Street, and the vehicle that struck the woman was making a left turn from Sherman onto Quade at the time. The driver of the Saab did not stop to offer assistance or cooperate with authorities but was reported to have fled north on Quade Street.
The injured woman who has been identified as a resident of Glen Falls in her 60’s, was immediately transported to a hospital where she remains in serious but non-life-threatening condition as of this morning. Authorities have not released the victims’ name at this time.
The Saab that police are looking for is believed to have sustained front-end damage due to the impact of the collision. There has been no further information made available.
Police are actively involved in an ongoing investigation.
