Throgs Neck, NY (November 8, 2018) – An accident between two work vehicles on the Cross Bronx Expressway took place Wednesday, November 7, at an unspecified time, according to authorities. The collision that involved a yellow dump truck and a white SUV resulted in the injuries of two individuals who were on-the-job at the time of the crash.
Police in the area stated that the dump truck driver veered off the expressway and subsequently crashed into trees. Emergency workers had to extricate the victim from the truck and then place him into an ambulance that rushed the injured man to a local hospital.
The front-end of the dump truck became so lodged into the trees due to the impact of the crash that I had to be detached from the rest of the vehicle.
According to authorities, the white SUV belonged to a Long Island laundromat company and it became involved in the accident for reasons that are currently unknown. The employee who was operating the SUV was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
No further information has been provided at this time as investigators are likely looking into the events that led to this incident.
