Garden City Park, NY (November 8, 2018) – Police in Garden City Park were called to the scene of a pedestrian accident that seriously injured one woman Wednesday evening, November 7. The accident was stated to have taken place at around 6:00 p.m. as the woman was attempting to walk across Jericho Turnpike.
According to police, the female pedestrian was crossing Jericho Turnpike a little west of Fifth Avenue when she was sadly struck by a motor vehicle. Paramedics were called to the scene as well as local police in order to evaluate the accident site and render aid to the victim.
The victim was reported to have suffered serious face and head injuries as a result of the impact. She was immediately transported to a local hospital to undergo treatment for her wounds. The driver remained at the scene and was reported to have fully cooperated with authorities.
