Schodack, NY (November 5, 2018) – A devastating motor vehicle collision that took place early Monday morning, November 5, resulted in the death of one individual. The crash was reported to have been occurred at around 1:00 a.m. due to an intoxicated driver who was arrested at the scene.
According to the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office, 41-year-old Sean Kidd was charged with DWI, Aggravated DWI, and vehicular manslaughter after the accident. The fatal crash occurred on Route 20 near the intersection with Route 9 and resulted in the closure of Route 20 for around eight hours.
Paramedics were called to the scene along with police in order to assist the victim and assess the crash site. James Law III was identified as the victim who tragically died at the scene following the collision.
There has been no more information released in regards to the events that led to this accident at this time.
