Loch Sheldrake, NY (November 6, 2018) – One man has tragically died while a woman suffered injuries following a fire that was reported on early Tuesday morning, November 6. The incident took place in the FoxCroft Village mobile home park at approximately 3:30 a.m.
According to the Fallsburg police, the fire broke out for reasons that are currently unknown and sadly resulted in the death of one man. The identity of the deceased victim has not been released in order to allow for the notification of loved ones.
One woman who was also involved in the accident was reported to have suffered from smoke inhalation due to the blaze. That patient was immediately transported to Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris.
Firefighters who were promptly called to the scene arrived shortly after the fire started and extinguished the flames. A dog was also reported to have died in the fire. No further information has been provided at this time.
Investigators are currently working to determine the exact cause of the fire.
