Irondequoit, NY (November 1, 2018) – Authorities reported a pedestrian accident that took place on Wednesday, October 31. According to authorities, a vehicle struck and seriously injured a man at around 8:45 p.m. on Titus Avenue in the vicinity of Bouckhart Avenue.
48-year-old Kenneth Mayer Jr. was reported to have been walking across Titus Avenue when a car operated by an unidentified driver struck him. Police were immediately called to the scene as well as paramedics to render aid.
Emergency medical responders promptly transported Mayer to Strong Memorial Hospital where he has been listed in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle was reported to have stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No charges have been filed at this time.
No further information has been released in regards to the events that led to this accident.
An investigation is currently ongoing.
