Schenectady, NY (October 29, 2018) – Possibly life-threatening injuries have been reported following a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a vehicle on Saturday morning, October 27. Police stated that the incident occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Albany Street and Brandywine Avenue.
When police arrived on the scene, they reported having found the injured victim had been struck by a vehicle, however, the car driver involved fled the scene. Emergency medical crews were immediately called to the site of the accident where they transported the victim to Ellis Hospital. The exact condition of the injured party has not been stated at this time.
Not too long after the accident, police reported to have found the vehicle involved, although no charges were said to have been filed at this time. No more information has been released.
The Schenectady Police Department’s Traffic Division is currently in charge of the investigation into this incident.
