Plattsburgh, NY (October 27, 2018) – Police say that a Plattsburgh woman was sent to the hospital following an intersection accident involving two vehicles. The accident took place at the intersection of City Hall Place and Cornelia Street.
At the time, police say that 17-year-old Kayla Michaels had been driving a 2015 Honda sedan south on Cumberland Avenue on Friday, October 26 around 3:10 p.m. Suddenly, a northbound Jeep driven by 61-year-old Nancy Baker attempted to turn left, colliding with Michaels’ vehicle.
Michaels had hip pain and was taken by ambulance to the University of Vermont Health Network for treatment. Baker received charges of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to yield the right-of-way, and more.
Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
