Sleepy Hollow, NY (October 23, 2018) – In Sleepy Hollow, a 9-year-old boy was struck in a hit-and-run crash this morning, October 23. Police responded to the scene around 7 a.m.
The accident happened on Depeyster Street near the area of Clinton Street. The driver struck the child and then drove off in a dark-colored sedan, which might have been a Honda Accord. The individual who was driving got out of the vehicle and looked at the child, then getting back inside and fleeing the scene.
The boy’s mother said that he had been on his way to get a snack at the market before he took the bus to school. He received injuries to the right side of his body.
Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
