Rochester, NY: Two People in Critical Condition After House Fire

Rochester, NY (October 22, 2018) – Two people have been admitted to the hospital in critical condition following a house fire that occurred for unknown reasons on Sunday morning, October 21. The fire started in the morning as firefighters arrived on the scene at around 7:15 a.m.

According to officials, both victims had to be pulled from the burning home, one of whom was rescued through the roof. The fire that engulfed the three-family home on Lexington Avenue is believed to have started on the second floor.

Emergency crews who were at the scene were able to verify the injuries of those involved as the victims were immediately transported to Strong Memorial Hospital. Both injured parties are listed in critical condition at this time.

The Arson Task Force is currently investigating the cause of the fire as it is currently unknown as to what or who started it.
