Bensonhurst, NY (October 20, 2018) – In Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, a 65-year-old man lost his life early Friday morning, October 19, in a serious scooter accident around 11:20 a.m.
Police originally responded to the accident in the area of 7309 19th Avenue around the area of the 62 Precinct. The FDNY EMS arrived at the scene and discovered that the man was unconscious and unresponsive. He was identified as an older Asian male.
Police started CPR and the victim was instantly rushed to the hospital but he was pronounced dead while there. The driver of the truck that struck him stayed at the scene to cooperate with police.
No arrests were made and police continue to investigate the accident.
