Buffalo, NY (October 12, 2018) – A school bus was involved in an accident after a car t-boned the large vehicle on Thursday afternoon, October 12. The driver who crashed into the bus was reported to have fled the scene on foot right after the accident.
According to authorities, the collision took place at around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Breckenridge Street and Herkimer Street. There were several students on board the bus at the time of the accident although only the driver of the bus reported having any injuries.
Emergency crews arrived on the scene in order to provide assistance for any injured victims. The driver of the bus suffered injuries that were classified as minor, and it was not stated as to whether or not that person was transported to a hospital.
16 students were picked up by a different bus following the crash, and no further information has been made available. Police are likely conducting an investigation into this incident.
