Buffalo, NY (October 11, 2018) – Two vehicles collided near the intersection of Genesee Street and Fillmore Avenue, resulting in the death of a pedestrian on Thursday evening, October 11. The fatal accident was reported to have occurred at around 6:00 p.m., according to the Buffalo Police Department.
Officials stated that two cars had collided with one another at the intersection for reasons that are currently unknown. Following the crash, one of the vehicles involved veered toward the side of the roadway and struck a female pedestrian who was standing at a bus stop.
Police along with paramedics were quick to arrive on the scene to render aid, however, the pedestrian identified only as, a woman in her 40’s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. No further information has been released at this time.
The Buffalo Police Department is currently looking into the events that led to this tragic collision.
