Sennett, NY (October 7, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck and killed in a serious pedestrian accident that took place yesterday, October 6 around 3:06 a.m. on Route 34. The accident took place near the County House Road, according to police.
Police said that they determined a 2016 Honda Civic had been driving northbound at the time when it suddenly struck a pedestrian who was walking in the middle of the northbound lane. The driver was uninjured but police say that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The roadway was closed until 8:45 a.m. while police investigated.
Many responders came to the scene including the Auburn Police Department, Sennett Fire Department, a medical response ambulance, and more.
Police are still investigating the incident at this time.
