Bethany, NY – Williamsville Man Dies After Ambulance Crash

Bethany, NY (October 7, 2018) – Police say that a Williamsville man lost his life after he was involved in an ambulance crash. He crashed his vehicle into an ambulance in the area of Route 63 on Saturday evening, October 6.

Bethany, NY – Williamsville Man Dies After Ambulance CrashPolice said that the driver was identified as 61-year-old Syed Rahman from Williamsville. He was driving his 2015 sedan northbound at the time when he struck an ambulance owned by the Bethany Volunteer Fire. Rahman had no passengers in his vehicle at the time of the accident.

The driver of the ambulance was identified as 65-year-old James Duval Jr.

A coroner was called to the scene of the accident and pronounced Rahman dead at the scene. There were two passengers in the ambulance at the time and they were quickly transported to the United Memorial Medical Center.

The crash is still being investigated at this time.
